Job Detail:
As a painter helper, your primary responsibility will be to support experienced painters in their day-to-day tasks. This hands-on role will involve a wide range of duties to ensure efficient project completion. Your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing surfaces: Assisting in the preparation of various surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching holes, and removing old paint or wallpaper. Ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for painting.
- Material preparation: Assisting with the preparation of paint, including mixing, matching colors, and ensuring proper consistency. Gathering and organizing necessary tools, brushes, rollers, and other equipment.
- Site setup and protection: Assisting in the setup of work areas, including covering furniture, floors, and fixtures with drop cloths or protective materials. Erecting scaffolding or ladders as required for access.
- Painting application: Assisting painters in applying coats of paint or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers. Paying attention to detail, ensuring even coverage, and following specific instructions.
- Cleanup and maintenance: Assisting in the cleanup of the work area after each project, including proper disposal of paint cans, brushes, and other materials. Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment for future use.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a painter helper or related construction experience is an asset but not mandatory.
